AEP 2021

It’s October and the leaves are turning, there is a crispness in the air, and it’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).  The video below is a quick review of Medicare Part D plans and a “walk through” of the Medicare.gov website “Plan Finder Tool.”

PDF on “Walk Through” Guide – download a PDF to print out if you would like

Here are your options for Plan Year 2021:

Option 1 –If you want to keep your current Part D Plan (medicine coverage) – You do not need to do anything.  Your plan will automatically renew if you do nothing for 2021.

Option 2 – If you want to change plans – If you would like us to continue to be your “Agent of Record.”  This allows us to contact the company on your behalf for any problems.  We represent any of the following companies:

  • Any Humana Medicare Part D Plan
  • Any SilverScript Medicare Part D Plan
  • Any AARP/United Healthcare Medicare Part D Plan
  • Any Wellcare Medicare Part D Plan
  • Any Mutual of Omaha Medicare Part D Plan
  • Any BlueCross BlueShield (NC Only) Medicare Part D Plan

If you want us to help you with any of the above plans, please click the “Create a Ticket” button and this will start the process.

OPTION 3 –If the least expensive Part D plan for you is NOT one of the companies listed above that we represent, we recommend you click on the “Enroll” button on the MyMedicare.gov Plan Finder Tool and enroll with that plan. We will not be the agent of record, but we want you to be on the least expensive Part D coverage based on your situation.

2021 Part D Senior Savings Model

For those using insulin, this medicine has always been expensive on Medicare Part D.  This year a new program was released and some Part D plans participate in this program.  You will notice that a $35/month copay will show up as the price in the first 3 phases of the Medicare Part D analysis using the Plan Finder Tool.
