Family: Wife, 3 red headed kids (my wife says we have one mold when it comes to the kids...not sure which of us they favor most), 3 dogs(Teddy Bear, Togo, and Juno), 3 cats (Pumpkin, Tiger, and Lilith).

Favorite Sports Team: None, really. I watch when I am bored.
College: NC State, Chemical Engineering with an option in Biosciences. So it makes sense that now I talk about health insurance and Medicare all day.
Strange fact about me: During thermodynamic college classes, I taught myself how to write my name backwards, upside down, and reversed...sorry Professor Hall.
Hobbies: Traveling with the family, golf, exercising, golf, learning new stuff, and golf.
Favorite Food: Shrimp Tacos and Shrimp Burgers (it's a eastern NC thing)
Favorite Recipe: I can make a mean bowl of Cheerios. People say I have a good recipe for bbq ribs.
Here is a little more info: I graduated NC State University (go Pack!) in 1995 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After about 2 years of research work for the EPA and the Department of Defense (chemical warfare testing – see photo), I realized talking to people was nice! I decided to use my degree with industrial sales. I enjoyed meeting new people and helping solve problems for customers.
After a number of years in industrial sales, I had the opportunity to work in insurance. I started my insurance carrier as a captive agent (meaning I only represented one company) in 2004. As the years passed and the demands of that job grew, I wanted more time at home with my young kids and fewer late evenings at work.
In 2012 I left that company and started my own insurance agency with the website MyMedigapConsultant.com. By switching roles to an independent broker, I was able to offer as many companies to my clients as I would like. I could offer unbiased opinions because I could offer the most competitive companies. I love sharing my knowledge with clients and helping lift the fog of confusion with Medicare plans. It’s so rewarding to have someone tell you they could not have chosen a plan without you. I have also been able to develop real relationships with my clients.
When not working, you will find me at home with my wife and three children (21 year old at UNC School of Arts, 18 year old Senior, and….an 9 year old 3rd grader). On occasion, you will find me in the woods at my local golf course searching for my golf ball.
