It's Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15th thru Dec 7th) and all the craziness has started. Clients have been stunned by the amount of calls, spam mail, junk email, commercials, etc. Evidently these insurance companies are investing a lot of money in advertising these "wonderful" Medicare Advantage plans or as one client refers to them as "Medicare Dis-Advantage" plans (royalty check is in the mail Dr. K!).
This year, these insurance companies must have tripled their marketing budget! It makes you wonder why they are pushing these Medicare Advantage plans so much more than the Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans? The reason is they make a TON of money off the Medicare Advantage plans compared to the Medigap plans.
You have to wonder if these plans are looking out for your best interest or their's...don't think long... We are all about educating our clients so they can see through all the marketing baloney out there. We hope the video is helpful in understanding what's happening out there.
